At 83, I think it’s safe to say that I’m probably one of the oldest living Playboy Bunnies still tottering around. While not everyone appreciates what the Playboy brand contributed to the women’s movement….for me, launching the first club in Chicago was an incredibly empowering experience. It gave me the confidence to embrace my sexuality at a time when women were criticized for expressing that aspect of themselves. Thanks to the sexual revolution, times have changed. Now 60 years later, I’ve decided to put my bunny ears back on to promote a message about ageism! It’s time to embrace the idea that beauty doesn’t have an expiration date! Older women can be strong, beautiful and sexy, even in their 80s. We may no longer be the embodiment of physical perfection, but that doesn’t mean we should become invisible.
